Fully based on Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Communication Foundation, BOARD 7 dramatically enhances platform interoperability, data handling capability and performance, thanks to the introduction of a modern SOA architecture, a native 64 bit technology and an efficient multi-thread processing.

This combination of technological and functional innovations continues to push the boundaries in providing an "all in one" platform to support Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management - allowing organizations to effectively align strategy with operations using one single product, one single technology, one single know-how.

"I believe that the release of BOARD 7 makes BOARD International the most innovative vendor in the BI and CPM space. - explains Giovanni Grossi , CEO of BOARD International - Not only do we provide BI and CPM integration, user self-service and interactive visualization, but we do it leveraging the brand-new Microsoft technology. The straightforward results achieved with BOARD 7 are just the starting point of a new development cycle: over the short term we will exploit the incredible potential of this technology to introduce ground-breaking enhancements in our offering."

Interactive Visualization

Leveraging the powerful features of Windows Presentation Foundation, Board 7 offers an outstanding BI and PM user experience, making it easy and intuitive to explore and understand and interact with all of the business information.
Drillable graphs, three-dimensional displays, animations, vector graphic, advanced visual containers and a modern ribbon bar dramatically enhance the user interaction with the application - ensuring better usability, enhanced productivity and a shorter learning time.

Self-Service Analysis and Reporting

The combination of the interactive visualization capabilities with the "toolkit approach" result in an innovative self-service analysis environment, hat enables users to obtain immediate answers to their question from a verified, consistent, shared information source.
From simple reports to the most sophisticated queries, any analysis can be built using the drag and drop function and the configuration of objects that are automatically synchronized with the data - without the need for any programming.

Office 2007 Integration

BOARD 7 offers complete integration with Office 2007 through an advanced Excel add-in and the ability to use Word and Power Point to manage reports.
Thanks to the possibility of entering data both on and offline, the new Excel client makes data collection processes more efficient by enabling users to work without being connected to BOARD and to synchronise data automatically when they first reconnect.

WPF and WCF

BOARD's architecture is based entirely on innovative standards which are widely recognised by the market, giving customers a guarantee that their company is investing in the right technology.

Windows Presentation Foundation

Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) is a unified presentation system, which offers a latest-generation approach to the construction of Windows application interfaces.
The advanced management of vector graphics, 3D, animations and multi-media content allows the creation of innovative front-ends, capable of revolutionising the traditional user experience.

Windows Communication Foundation

The Windows Communication Foundation is the unified programming model for building service-oriented applications on a Microsoft platform.
The adoption of this standard makes it possible to build secure and reliable applications that guarantee full interoperability with different solutions and systems, through a standardised use of web services.
