SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Enterprise is a point-and-click data visualization tool specifically designed to create interactive analytics and dashboards using pre-built component such as graphs, skins, charts, sliders, gauges. One of the fundamental ideas behind every Xcelsius dashboard and visualization is the ability to offer online/connected consumption (connected to the source) of key information as well as offline (disconnected to the original data source).

Xcelsius Flash-based dashboards can also be ‘embedded' in many documents such as Office documents, PDF documents, a web page on a portal in short everywhere needed. Xcelsius also empowers business users with "what-if" analysis with sliders and other interactive controls. For example, executives can use Xcelsius for what-if analysis to demonstrate how decreasing inventory for a particular product line might affect sales in a certain region.
